I’ve made this basic recipe many times, but every time I change it just a little. The original recipe (Giada) involves ground lamb, parmesan, bread crumbs, parsley, sun dried tomatoes, egg, and milk. But I actually just use whatever I have on hand. This time, I didn’t have parsley or sun dried tomatoes, so I sauteed some crimini mushrooms and used fresh thyme from our herb garden.
Mix the ingredients and form hamburger patties. Wrap each patty in prosciutto.
Sear in a cast iron skillet for 6 minutes on each side.
I topped mine with a garden fresh slice of tomato and arugula salad. I love how the tangy arugula (covered with an olive oil lemon juice dressing) compliments the salty prosciutto. This burger is so packed with flavor, juicy, and easy to make.
