Apple Fritters

I can’t believe it took me this long to discover these tasty treats!  Sliced apples dipped in batter, deep fried, sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with vanilla gelato.  Yumm!  This is a recipe from Thomas Keller’s Ad Hoc cookbook.  Eat these fresh out of the fryer and there is almost nothing better.
